The Lorain Historical Society is partnering with Threads of Wellness for Drop-in Yoga Classes on Wednesdays at 4:30 pm. Classes will be held at the Carnegie Center, located at 329 W. 10th St., Lorain. Registration is not required. Yoga fee is $10, payable at the door.
Tanna Torkelson of Threads of Wellness will lead students into their own, individualized yoga practice. The use of props like chairs and blocks will help make postures uniquely accessible for each participant!. Come and enjoy the mind-body connection through gentle postures, breath practice, relaxation. Tanna will modify poses for our more experienced yogi’s.
Bring your own mat and a few friends and we will see you at Drop-in Yoga!
September will lay the groundwork and education so we can build onto our practice.
In October, Yoga sessions will move into a mildly strengthening mode of yoga that we will term Yoga Basics. This series will keep the breath work but add in balance postures, strengthening movements for our core and more "whole body" postures that offer stretch, strength and stability all at once! We will still include the restorative stretches toward the end of class and our favorite guided relaxation.
Scheduled dates: September 4, 11, 18, and 25. October 2, 9, 16, 23rd, and 30.
