Join us June 28, 2024, for our Remembrance event at the Sunset Terrace Event Center. This event will be held from 12-1pm. This remembrance event will honor the victims and survivors of the 1924 Lorain tornado inside the Lakeview Park Bath House which was where the tornado first made landfall.

About the event
Join us June 28, 2024, for our Remembrance event at the Sunset Terrace Event Center. This event will be held from 12-1pm. This remembrance event will honor the victims and survivors of the 1924 Lorain tornado inside the Lakeview Park Bath House which was where the tornado first made landfall in Lorain. Directly following the event, join the Lorain County Metro Parks on a guided "Tornado Walking Tour" around 1pm through the park.
Join us later in the evening at the Lorain International Festival around 5:30pm for an acknowledgement during the festival's opening remarks kicking off the festival weekend. LHS will be inside the Transportation Center hosting a book signing event with the author of "The 1924 Tornado in Lorain & Sandusky: Deadliest in Ohio History," Betsy D'Annibale, as well as selling limited edition 1924 Tornado merchandise.
