The Carnegie Center (including the Gift Shop) and the Moore House is currently closed to allow for Staff Development, Program and Exhibit Preparation, and a deep cleaning of the buildings.
THE CARNEGIE CENTER will re-open for tours February 1, 2022 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 am – 3 pm, and is home to the new permanent exhibits featuring the Lorain Lighthouse and Lorain Industry, the Children’s History Center and the Gift Shop.
Carnegie Center Tour Fees:
An admission fee of $8 is charged for all adults over 18; $3 for students age 6 – 18; free for children under 6 when accompanied by an adult. Lorain Historical Society Members can tour for free.
THE MOORE HOUSE MUSEUM will re-open for tours February 1, 2022 on Tuesday from 10 am – 3 pm, and is the former home of Mayor Moore and his family during the 1920’s. The Moore House gives visitors a unique insight into daily life during that time period.
Moore House Tour Fees:
An admission fee of $5 is charged for all adults over 18; $3 for students age 6 – 18; free for children under 6 when accompanied by an adult. Lorain Historical Society Members can tour for free.

We welcome groups of 10-15 to visit either the Carnegie Center or the Moore House once we re-open on February 1, 2022. Please contact us to make special arrangements for your visit.
