Permanent Exhibit Phase 1
We are thrilled to announce that Phase One of our Permanent Exhibits is now available for viewing at the Carnegie Center. Phase One features the Lorain Lighthouse and Lorain Industry, including U. S. Steel, the Ford Motor Company, and the American Shipbuilding Company.
A special thank you to the State of Ohio Governor’s Budget for the grant that allowed us to begin this multi-faceted project.
Thanks to Jan McKay & Associates for the design work (Jan is a Lorain native) and Benchmark Craftsmen, Inc. for the exhibit fabrication.
We welcome you to come and visit this new exhibit that is uniquely Lorain!
PLEASE NOTE: Both of our buildings are currently closed to the public indefinitely due to the Covid-19 outbreak. All programs have been postponed and will be re-scheduled as soon as possible. The Administrative Office at the Carnegie Center is also closed, but we will be checking our e-mail. Questions can be sent to [email protected], and a staff member will respond as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
