Individual Tours

The Carnegie Center is open for tours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am – 3

pm. Our Oral History Project provides insight into the people who came to Lorain looking for

work and a better life for their families. Spend time learning more about the industries that

employed thousands of people for many years. Plan to go shopping in our Gift Shop as

another way to support the Lorain Historical Society. Most of our items are hand-crafted and

Lorain-themed. Make sure you visit our “Children’s Corner” for a gift for your child or

grandchild. Check out our “Calendar” for details and for more information on Special

Programs at the Carnegie Center.

The Moore House Museum is open for tours on Tuesdays from 10 am – 3 pm and for special

programs.   Home to Mayor Leonard Moore and his family during the 1920’s, the Moore

House gives visitors unique insight into daily life at that time. Check out our “Calendar” for

more information on Special Programs at the Moore House.

Tour Fees:

An admission fee of $5 is charged for adults and seniors; $3 for students from age 6 - 21; free

for children up through age 6, but must be accompanied by an adult.  Lorain Historical Society

Members can use their free passes for a tour.
