Individual Tours

The Carnegie Center is open for tours on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm, and is home to the new permanent exhibits featuring the Lorain Lighthouse and Lorain Industry.  The Children’s History Center and the Gift Shop are also open during regular tour hours.  The Administrative Offices are open Tuesday through Friday from 10 am - 3 pm.  We can be reached at 440-245-2563 or by sending an e-mail to info@lorainhistory.org, and one of our staff members will respond as soon as possible.

CARNEGIE ENTER TOUR FEES:

An admission fee of $8 is charged for all adults over 18; $3 for students age 6 - 18; free for children under 6 when accompanied by an adult.  Lorain Historical Society Members can use their free passes for a tour.

The Moore House Museum is open for tours on Tuesdays from 10 am – 3 pm and for special programs.  Home to Mayor Leonard Moore and his family during the 1920’s, the Moore House gives visitors unique insight into daily life during that time period.  Check out our “Calendar, Programs & Events” tab for more information on Special Programs at the Moore House.

Group Tours

We welcome groups of 10-15 to visit either the Carnegie Center or the Moore House. Please

contact us to make special arrangements for your visit. We request the courtesy of at least a

We can provide a continental breakfast or lunch for your group with advance notice and for an

additional charge.
