On June 28, 1924, an F4 tornado touched down in Sandusky and Lorain, taking a total of 85 lives and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Join us for a special themed tour as we explore history of this major natural disaster, hear accounts of the storm’s impact, and find out why it remains a significant part of the collective memory in the City of Lorain.
This program will be presented at The Carnegie Center, located at 329 W. 10th St., Lorain. This will be a “sit-down” presentation adapted from the same information used on the torus conducted at the Moore House Museum . The tour will last about one hour.
