On June 28, 1924, an F4 tornado touched down in Sandusky and Lorain, taking a total of 85 lives and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Join us for a special themed tour as we explore history of this major natural disaster, hear accounts of the storm’s impact, and find out why it remains a significant part of the collective memory in the City of Lorain.
This tour will be held at the Moore House Museum, located at 309 W. 5th St., Lorain. On the Moore House tour, attendees should be prepared for long periods of walking and standing as they are guided through the first and second floors with only limited chances to sit.
