Join us for a day of hands-on fun at the Lorain Historical Society’s Carnegie Center. The Lorain County Spinners and Weaver’s Guild will be on site to demonstrate how wool is worked into thread and yarn; you can even give it a try yourself. We will have a make-and-take craft as well as special temporary exhibits about how different cultures use fiber arts and a local artist who used weaving techniques in her work. For more information about the LOCO Spinners and Weaver’s guild visit their website at http://locoguild.com/ .
Cost: Adults, $5; Students ages 6 - 21, $3; Children under 6 are free when accompanied by an adult.
This program is supported by a grant from the Nord Family Foundation and is in association with Firelands Association of the Visual Arts.
