Join us in a statewide celebration of downtown Lorain buildings that are on the National Register of Historic Buildings! On Saturday, September 8, many downtown Lorain buildings will be open from 11 am - 2 pm, ready for you to explore. Be sure to bring your camera as you take part in this self-guided tour of historic buildings.
Start at the Lorain Historical Society's Moore House Museum, located at 309 W. 5th St., and pick up a list of participants. While you are there, be sure to get a cup of gourmet coffee from My Best Friend's Coffee and a sweet treat from the Sugar Shack.
Other participants include Speak of the Devil (201 W. 5th St.), Old Fire Station and Income Tax Office (605 W. 4th St.), Antler's Hotel (300 Washington Ave.), Duane Building (397-401 Broadway), Palace Theater (617 Broadway), Charleston Coffee House (630 Broadway), Jason Shaffer Photography (631 Broadway), Boarders (712 Broadway), Original Lorain Post Office (Broadway & 9th St.). Additional storefronts may be open, so feel free to go exploring!
