Choral Spectrum, one of Northern Ohio’s premier community choirs, will return to the Carnegie Center at the invitation of the Historical Society and present An Uncommonly Beautiful Christmas; Traditional Carols Rarely Heard. Centuries of singing about the miracle of Christmas have produced a wealth of carols from all parts of the world that are very traditional and well-known but rarely heard in modern America. Some of the best choral composers have revisited these uncommon carols and made these gems into beautiful arrangements. Choral Spectrum will bring these carols to light in this performance.
Choral Spectrum is an auditioned chamber choir of approximately 24 singers from communities across Northern Ohio, rehearsing on Monday nights at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Under the direction of Dr. Ted S. Williams, the choir specializes in performing traditional music of lasting worth.
Tickets are $20 per person, and includes the concert and a dessert buffet immediately after the performance. This event is a fundraiser for both the Lorain Historical Society and Choral Spectrum. Tickets can be ordered by clicking the link below, or by calling the Lorain Historical Society at (440) 245-2563.
The Museum Gift Shop, featuring Lorain-themed and handcrafted gifts will be open for your convenience on the day of the concert.
